A turnout of 35 enthusiastic folks attended the Parker Trail Town Dedication on Saturday Sept. 26,2015. District 63 Representative Donna Oberlander, Parker Mayor Bill McCall, Butler Chapter President Ron Rice and Butler Chapter Past President Dan Mourer spoke at the dedication. Steve Smith led a long hike from the Eldorado Rd trailhead back to Parker City and Dave Galbreath and Dave Adams led a shorter hike across the Parker Bridge and up along the Allegheny River to the Clarion River Bridge. Many hikers dined afterwards at the Riverstone Lounge and Grill and some had breakfast before the dedication at the Parker VFW.

There is a 2 mile trail section that follows S. Jackson Ave to Washington St (Rt 268). The trail descends along a sidewalk to the Allegheny River where the trail follows a sidewalk along North River Ave. The following Parker businesses provide hiker services.

The Eastern section ends at the Veterans Memorial Bridge crossing the Allegheny River on a separate pedestrian walkway. This connects to the Clarion Chapter section on the eastern shore of the Allegheny River where there is trailhead parking under the bridge.
