Heritage Chapter - 2008 Calendar of Events

All persons planning to participate in any of the listed events should be equipped, subject to local weather conditions, with work clothes, gloves, lunch, water supply, bug repellent, rain gear, boots, and gloves if they intend to participate in any trail maintenance or construction event. For other events, dress should be geared to local weather and specific event purpose. Please call one of the numbers listed below to confirm your attendance at one or all of the coming events. The standard meeting place is the Weber Lake County Park parking lot next to the Whitecap Resort, just off County Road E 3 miles west of Iron Belt Wisconsin at 0900 in the morning. Anyone wishing to join in the work party can camp at the Copper Falls overflow campground for free after reporting in at the entrance station to the Park.

September 20 - Trail maintenance Please Note: For this event only, if you are camping at Copper Falls Park, you will meet Michael Stafford at the entrance building at 0900 on Saturday morning. Others wishing to meet at Weber Lake should do so at 0900 and they will be escorted from there to the work site.

October 11 - Final trail maintenance and hike event.

Volunteers are caught here replacing a bridge over Boomer Creek in Iron County near Iron Belt, Wisconsin. The bridge replaces an earlier bridge that was in poor condition.
