We wish that all the official maps of the NCT were complete and available. Unfortunately, that won't be a reality for a number of years.
The number one search request on the web site is for MAPS. Many of these maps can be located in the Trail Shop. However, in an effort to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for, we'll try to list sections (east to west) and locations of maps by Trail Organizations in one central place-- Here!
Tips
- sections listed east to west
- all links will open in a separate window
- many management authorities (such as Forests or Parks) offer their own maps. We are not attempting to list all these sources here. See list below of National Forests through which the trail passes.
- NCTA maps will be gradually phased from 1:100,000 to 1:63,360 scale.
National Forests Through which the Trail Passes
Many of these forests offer their own maps of the North Country Trail within their borders. There is not consistency from one forest to the next. Some may have maps on-line. We will list the forests and simply direct you to the USFS web site where you may find more information on how to contact these forests.
