Hikes, Trail Work and
Local Volunteers Building a Dream
Although the North Country Trail Association is a national nonprofit organization, we function locally through Chapters of volunteers and trail enthusiasts. You'll find links and basic information on all of our Chapters here. Many Chapters also have their own web pages - click on a circle on the map, or browse the state listing, to pick a Chapter near you.
Each Chapter is like a club that works to plan, build and maintain trail within a specific region. Chapters also promote the trail and the Association through public hikes, social events and other activities.
You may find listings of local events on chapter pages, or click here for a trailwide Schedule of Events
Members of the North Country Trail Association usually choose to become members of a local Chapter as well, at no extra cost. In addition to receiving our national magazine, the North Star, they also receive local mailings which provide more detail on Chapter efforts and events.
To find out more about membership, the Association and the Trail, please use our on-line information request form. We'll send you a packet of information within a couple of weeks.
