Itasca Moraine Chapter

Trail Range

Based in the Park Rapids-Walker-Hackensack area, the Itasca Moraine Chapter is responsible for a 107-mile section of the NCT in Hubbard and Cass Counties in northern Minnesota between Itasca State Park and Co. Hwy 125 within the Chippewa National Forest near Longville.

Trail Description

Members

Please join us! The Chapter currently has about 45 members in the Park Rapids – Walker – Bemidji – Hackensack area.

Chapter Activities:

The Itasca Moraine Chapter has volunteer opportunities for building, maintaining, promoting, and interpreting the Trail in our area. We are currently adding trail amenities (e.g. loop trails, campsites, etc) to our recently-completed trail section via regularly-scheduled workdays. We are looking for more trail adopters to help maintain segments of the NCT. The Chapter also hosts year-round hikes on its trail section.

Recently retired and have family cabin near Nevis. Would lkie to be involved in trail work and group hikes. Keep us posted of meetings.
