Trail Range
This stretch of the NCT route is a long roadwalk where the hiker will leave the forested lake region, enter the tallgrass prairie, and traverse the flat & agriculturally rich Red River Valley. Within the City of Fergus Falls, the route rejoins the Otter Tail River, which it will parallel all the way west to Breckenridge, MN where it joins the Bois de Sioux River to form the Red River of the North. Pelican Rapids, Fergus Falls and Breckenridge both offer the hiker a multitude of services.
Chapter Activities
Currently there is not an active chapter for this area but we are working to develop a volunteer group to work on the NCT route between Frazee and Vergas and Maplewood State Park.
