Wear your green and enjoy a day in the forest hunting for those elusive leprechauns with the Allegheny National Forest Chapter!
We will meet at the Kellettville Bridge parking on Branch Rd at 10:00 AM EDT on Saturday, March 14th. The parking lot is located on the south side of the bridge over the Tionesta Creek on Branch Rd at 41.54495, -79.25538, N 41° 32.697’ W 79° 15.323’. It is directly across from the Army Corp campground entrance. You can also follow this link to the spot on the NCTA interactive map or on Google Maps.
We’ll head north, following the East Fork valley. It is about 4.8 miles to the East Fork Campsite and back, 8 miles to get to FR 159 and back, or 11.2 miles to go to the Spring Campsite and back. The length of the hike can be adjusted based on the desires of the participants.
Please come prepared for the hike dressed in appropriate layers for the weather, and carrying your own food and water. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. Hope to see you there!
