Arrowhead Chapter Hike, Workday, and Meeting

Calling Grand Rapids (Minnesota) area North Country Trail hikers! Join the NCTA Arrowhead Chapter on Thursday, December 15 for a day of local NCNST events:

  • 12:00 p.m. CR-61 North route committee meeting at the library
  • 1:30 p.m. Snowshoe/hike with the City of Cohasset at Tioga Beach
  • 3:00 p.m. Meet to put up/look at the urban signage at the YMCA
  • 6:00 p.m. Chapter Leadership social in the City of Cohasset conference room
  • 7:00 p.m. Chapter meeting in the City of Cohasset conference room

12:00 p.m. CR-61 committee meeting will meet at the Grand Rapids Library (140 NE 2nd Street, Grand Rapids, MN 55744). Anyone interested is welcome to join in the discussion.

1:30 p.m. Snowshoe hike with Stephanie from Cohasset Parks and Rec at Tioga Beach Recreation Area (305 1st Avenue NW, Cohasset, MN 55721). Everyone is invited to come out to enjoy a guided snowshoe hike! The City will provide the snowshoes at no charge. All snowshoe skill levels are welcome to participate in this program. Snowshoes will fit teens and adults best. Flyer with info, weather cancellations and other updates will be posted on the City’s Facebook page.

3:00 p.m. We will meet at the Itasca County Family YMCA (400 River Rd, Grand Rapids, MN 55744) and walk our urban route through town in the interest of signing the Trail. We will mark anything we are able to and determine what other supplies are needed so we can finish signing in the spring.

6:00 p.m. NCTA leadership meeting at City of Cohasset Parks and Rec conference room at (325 NW 1st Ave, Cohasset, MN 55721). Every month, Chapter leadership and all members are invited to join the Chapter leadership meetings. This month is more of a social activity for the holiday season. Any NCTA member is welcome to join in!

7:00 p.m. Regular Arrowhead Chapter monthly meeting. This will also be in the same conference room as the 6:00 NCTA meeting. Thank you Stephanie for sharing your space with us!
