Mileage: Approx. 5 miles total

Hike details: Snow shoes not required for participation. No bathroom facilities near hike (gas station a few miles away from trailhead at M-34/M-99 junction). Practice LNT principles. Approx. 3/4 mile of this section is dirt roadwalk and does pass near the DNR gun range.
Post-hike activity: Coffee/tea at own expense at Checker Records in Hillsdale immediately following the hike.
