March Group Hike
This hike will celebrate the North Country National Scenic Trail’s 42nd birthday by hiking through a section of Lost Nations State Game Area. We will meet at the Gilbert Road trailhead and hike out to Pittsford Road to sign the logbook before hiking back to the Gilbert Road trailhead. The hike out is approximately three miles, for a total hike of approximately six miles. (Michigan mile markers 1148.5 to 1151.25.) If you only wish to hike the first half, you need to make arrangements to be picked up separately. This hike is dog and family friendly. Dogs must remain leashed at all times. This section of Trail is a natural trail through dense woods and does have some steep inclines and declines, as well as a water crossing. Please plan accordingly. There might even be cupcakes at the end to celebrate!
