Join the NCTA Butler County Chapter on Saturday, May 28 for a three-mile loop hike at McConnells Mill State Park.

Meet 8:00 a.m. at the Kildoo Picnic Area parking and hike down to the mill. Heading south on the Kildoo Trail to Eckert Bridge, we’ll cross Slippery Rock Creek, then hike north along the NCNST on the opposite bank back to the covered bridge and mill.

There is an optional 1.5-mile hike up to Alpha Falls and back along the NCNST and Slippery Rock Gorge.

Dress for weather and wear sturdy footwear. Portions of trail are rocky and may encounter muddy areas. Bring snacks and water.

Meet at the Kildoo Picnic parking area in McConnells Mill State Park. From Route 422, take the McConnells Mill Road exit west of I-79 and Route 19. Travel south past the maintenance area and the point parking area to the Kildoo Picnic Parking Area, which is above the mill and covered bridge. Restrooms are available here.
