Butler County Chapter: Tree ID Walk
July 29th Tree ID and Walk at Mconnells Mills – With Special Guest Adam Haritan from Learn Your Land, Hosted by The Butler County Chapter.
8:30am: Optional muffins and juice
9:00am: Tree ID/walk
Meet at Mconnells Mills/Kildo Picnic Area
● We will take a walk around the picnic area while Adam discusses trees along the way. Next we will meander down over the hill to the Mill. Adam will continue his talk as we walk along Kildo Trail to Kildo Falls, (possibly further if time allows) then turn around and head back up to the picnic area. The total program will last 2 to 3 hours.
● After the walk we will have an optional stop at Browns Country Kitchen in Portersville for ice cream or lunch.

● Dress for the weather, wear hiking boots or a sturdy pair of shoes, bring water and any snacks you may want. Adam Haritan is a nature enthusiast, observer, documenter, and faithful adherent to the land in western Pennsylvania. He leads various classes and workshops related to plant and mushroom identification, wild food harvesting, nutritional and medicinal components of wild foods, the benefits of nature connection, and more.
