Chief Noonday Chapter: Norris Road, Yankee Springs Workday
The Chief Noonday Chapter will be completing several projects in Yankee Springs on this workday.
A roadside sign will be reinstalled after twice being taken out by car slide-offs. (We will be moving the sign to a different location!) We will also be doing a minor re-route to avoid erosion issues in Yankee Springs – north of Hall Lake.
Extra volunteers will hike along our off-road trails in the area to do some grooming with loppers or pruners – please bring your own cutting tools. Lots of ability to socialize and meet new friends while doing this gooming. Work will be fairly easy.
Meeting place for all groups will be in Yankee Springs Recreation Area, south of Middleville at the Trailhead at S. Norris Rd ½ mile south of Gun Lake Rd or ¼ mile North of Duffy Rd. (Mile 1041) Tools will be provided for the sign and re-route. Jeff Fleming will lead the sign relocation, Larry Pio will lead the re-route, and Arlene Stiemle will coordinate the trail grooming team.
