Perhaps you’ve heard of El Camino de Santiago – or The Way of St. James. On June 10th the Chief Noonday Chapter’s monthly meeting will feature one of our members who has made two different pilgrimages on “The Camino”. Mike Marino will share his experiences and give advice to anyone who is thinking of hiking one of the routes.

The Camino encompasses several routes in Spain, France, and Portugal, and since 2013, the Camino has attracted more than 200,000 pilgrims each year, with an annual growth rate of more than 10 percent. Created and established in the beginning of the 9th century following the discovery of the relics of Saint James the Great, the Way of St. James became a major pilgrimage route of medieval Christianity from the 10th century onwards.

We look forward to Mike’s talk. Our meeting will start at 7 PM at the Delton Library with Mike’s presentation, followed by our business meeting, ending around 8:30. Folks can leave following the presentation if they desire.
