DESCRIPTION:Please join the Chief Noonday Chapter for the Festival of Light
 s Hike!\n\nDowntown Battle Creek takes on a magical glow during the month 
 of December. The Twelve Days of Christmas lighting display are portrayed o
 n the Linear Park Trail behind the Kellogg House along the river.\n\nWe wi
 ll meet for dinner at 5:30 pm before the hike at: New Holland Brewing Co.\
 , 64 W. Michigan Ave.\, Battle Creek\, MI 49017 - Dinner Reservations unde
 r the name "Chief Noonday Chapter."\n\nParking Location: New Holland Brewi
 ng Co. (see address above) - Lat/Long 42.328251\,-85.184177\n\nHike Start
 s: Approx. 6:45 pm\n\nHike Location: Avenza map 076 MI LP 530.5. We will t
 urn around at MI 527.5\, making for a 6-mile hike.\n\nHikers can turn arou
 nd as desired. If needed\, a Chief Noonday Chapter Volunteer will guide yo
 u back safely.\n\nRestrooms available at New Holland Brewing Co.\n\nIf the
  weather is snowy and cold on day of hike or for any winter hike\, here ar
 e some recommendations from our Hike Committee to make your experience enj
 oyable. COME PREPARED to enjoy the lights with fellow hikers!\n- Dress acc
 ording to the weather: hat\, neck gaiter/scarf\, hand and feet warmers\, f
 oot gaiters to keep deep snow out of your boots\, and layer your clothing.
 \n- Remember you sweat in winter\, cotton is not a good idea!\n- Carry wat
 er\n- Ice Cleats or some kind of traction device for your boots is recomme
 nded. There can be hidden ice under the snow\; slips and falls are common 
 without them. Additionally\, sunlight and usage of the trail can add to th
 e accumulation of ice.\n- Hiking poles are especially useful in distributi
 ng your weight and maintaining your balance to prevent falls.\n\nPlease em
