Hike in the Grasslands
Meet up with the Dakota Prairie Chapter at the east Trailhead (Jorgen’s Hollow) in the trailhead parking lot. We will
experience the new growth of springtime on this 4-mile loop hike.
The Oak Leaf Trail will be your introduction to the Sheyenne National Grasslands and the loveliness of the
tall grass prairie, blooming wildflowers, and oak savanna.
Be sure to bring your water/hydration and be prepared for those biting bugs with repellant.
For directions to the Trailhead and further information including updates of any changes to the timing of this hike, and to RSVP, please see Meetup.com.
The hike is on a dirt and gravel trail with some rolling hills and some level ground. There is a primitive restroom available. Trail is probably not handicap accessible.
