High Banks Rollaway Hike near Kingsley
Join the NCTA Grand Traverse Chapter on a 7 mile out-and-back hike hosted by Nancy Briggs! This color and vista rich hike along the Manistee River near Kingsley, Michigan, is a local favorite! Please note that your hike can be used for the Hike 100 Challenge!
Here’s what to expect: We will meet at the Baxter Bridge parking lot and hike on a moderate to aggressive trail to the John Briggs Memorial Bench, where we will snack, enjoy the stunning view, and rest. We will then hike back to our cars. There are several big hills and several smaller ups and downs on this stretch, so we will rest as the group needs to. Bring water, snacks, and optional poles, and wear sturdy shoes.
Directions: Do NOT go to the campground. We will meet in the parking lot at Baxter Bridge. A bathroom is available there.
