Hike the High Rollaways with the NCTA Grand Traverse Hiking Club Chapter, starting at Baxter Bridge to the Manistee River Observation Deck and back to Baxter Bridge!

This is an out-and-back hike that is approximately 5 miles in total mileage. It’s a perfect fall hike if you are working on your Hike 100 Challenge or if you would like to view colorful vistas that are a local fall favorite.

We will meet at the Baxter Bridge parking lot where there is ample parking and a restroom. Note that this is a moderately challenging route with a great deal of elevation change. We may encounter wet spots. Poles are helpful on this hike. If the distance is too long for an individual, there is an option of turning around with a companion.

We will be hiking along the Manistee River on a ridge where the views are fantastic. Hopefully, the colors will be out in full force. Please bring bug spray, lots of water, poles, snacks and a friend. All are welcome! Questions? Contact Kathy at kayakingkathy@gmail.com.
