This is the NCTA Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Chapter‘s Spring Trail Improvement Day! Give back to the Trail we all love to use! Come and help with some needed improvements. We have a tool that will fit your hand!

Our main focus is the Trail beside the Curley Lewis Highway, west of the Bark Dock Day Use Area. The Trail is a sidehill condition that needs some dirt work to improve the walkability of the trail tread. Other maintenance activities in the area could take place depending on the number of volunteers. See a map of the area here.

The Curley Lewis Highway is also called Lakeshore Drive and the Whitefish Bay Byway. It runs between Brimley to the east and M-123 (north of Eckerman) to the west. It follows the shore of Whitefish Bay. The Bark Dock Day Use area is the westernmost location on the south shore of Whitefish Bay with a public restroom facility. You will find us along the road within a half-mile west of the Bark Dock.

Bring clothing that can get dirty, a couple pairs of work gloves, solid footwear, water, a snack or a lunch, and a friend! We will provide the trail tools necessary to do the work. Come for the morning, afternoon, or all day. Any amount of help will be appreciated!

After the work day we will gather at a nearby location for refueling and refreshment. We will need to record your name and contact information.
