Join the Jordan Valley 45° Chapter on March 21 for a hike from Kipp Rd. to Bayfront Park (about 7 miles).

Kipp Rd. (53.25) or N. Conway Rd. & 131 (Mile 55.25) to Bayfront Park (61.25).

We will meet at Bayfront Park (by the Bear River, mile 61.25) at 9:30 and head out by 10:00 to ferry everyone to the hike’s start at Kipp Rd. (53.25). For a two-mile shorter hike, you could start at N. Conway Rd & 131 (611.0). Or you could start at Bayfront Park and walk north to meet the southbound group.

The trailhead at Kipp Rd. is the northern terminus of the Jordan 45° Chapter. The first mile is off-road on the 2023 reroute. The second mile is road walk to Conway Road. After Conway Rd. The trails are paved or sidewalk. Along the way we will pass Round Lake, walk along Little Traverse Bay, and pass through Bayfront Park. If there is interest, we may take a side trip into Petoskey State Park.

After the hike we will ferry drivers back to the start at Kipp Rd. to recover cars. We will also gather for pops and lunch at one of the local establishments (Duffy’s, Beard’s or Petoskey Brewing Co.).

Come prepared for the weather, it can be windy on the bay. Bring plenty of water and snacks.

The Jordan Valley 45 Chapter trail runs from Starvation Lake Rd. to Kipp Rd. in Harbor Springs, about 79 miles of awesome valleys, hills and wooded trail. Monthly hikes are usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month. All are welcome.
