The next NCTA Marquette Area Chapter group hike will delve into the history and evolution of some of the rock formations on a portion of the NCNST along the Superior shore.

Al Strandlie, senior staff geologist for Cliffs Natural Resources, will share his expertise with us on an afternoon hike. We will meet at the Wetmore Pond parking area just north of Sugarloaf on the west side of CR 550. (Note that this is not the similarly named Wetmore Landing parking area!) The hike is about 4.7 miles round trip with a set of stairs to climb and descend.

This event is limited to 20 participants. Advance registration is required. We will accept registrations until Friday, September 30 or until the hiker limit has been met.
