Little Garlic Group Hike
The next NCTA Marquette Area Chapter group hike will explore the Little Garlic River / Elliott Donnelley Wilderness Area. Our hike leader is biologist Amellia Vasquez-Collins, who will share information on the natural features of the area. This will be an out-and-back hike for a total of approximately 5 miles (2.5 miles each way).
We will meet on Sunday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elliott Donnelley trailhead parking area. The trailhead is about seven miles north of Marquette via CR 550, on the left just after you cross the Little Garlic River. The terrain is moderate, but you may wish to use trekking poles as there are a few steep sections along with some wet, muddy areas. Wear waterproof boots and dress in layers for the weather. At this time, we don’t think snowshoes will be required, but we will update you as the date draws near.
This event has limited attendance of 20. Please RSVP.
