DESCRIPTION:In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary\, the National
  Park Service is excited to announce Along the Trail\, a virtual speaker s
 eries created for the dedicated trail community. This series brings togeth
 er voices from across the trail’s landscapes to explore the rich nature 
 and history that defines both the trail and the nation it traverses.\n-\nJ
 oin via Zoom on Monday\, July 20 at 7 pm EST for the second event in the s
 eries led by staff from Sheyenne National Grassland in North Dakota.\n-\n
 "The Sheyenne National Grassland is located in eastern Ransom and western 
 Richland counties\, about 12 miles east of Lisbon in southeastern North Da
 kota. It comprises 70\,180 acres of public land and 64\,769 acres of priva
 tely owned land. The Grassland is characterized by sandy soils\, originall
 y deposited as the delta of an ancient river as it emptied into glacial La
 ke Agassiz. Over time\, wind and rain have shaped the topography into a un
 ique landscape ranging from flat deltaic plains to choppy sand dunes."\n~
