SUMMARY:Wisconsin Roving Trail Crew Work Week
DESCRIPTION:The NCTA Wisconsin Roving Trail Crew\, "the Rovers\," is a grou
 p of volunteers from a variety of NCTA Chapters. In 2024\, the group will 
 be spending the majority (if not all) of the 2024 season opening the Foste
 r Falls / Potato River corridor (8+ miles)\, building trail tread\, constr
 ucting bridges throughout\, and possibly building some stone stairs as wel
 l. Swimming in the falls (both Foster and/or Wren) as water temperatures a
 llow will be a highlight. This work area falls within the NCTA Heritage Ch
 apter area.\n\nJoin us this July to repair Pipeline Bridge erosion (north 
 of Copper Falls State Park) and continue roughing in the Foster Falls corr
 idor. We may have some structure construction\, depending on crew size.\nI
 f you have never been on one of the Rovers' workweeks\, it is the NCTA's f
 lagship volunteer crew program and has built most of the new NCNST and tra
 il structures in Wisconsin over the last couple of decades. Here is how it
  works: The crew gathers on Monday afternoon to set up camp and enjoy dinn
 er together. Volunteers work on the project from Tuesday through Friday mo
 rning. Camp is broken down on Friday and volunteers depart for home. The c
 rew camps together and all meals are provided at no charge.\n\nVolunteers 
 can join the crew for a day\, a couple of days\, the whole week\, or the w
 hole season. Overnight camp spots do fill quickly\, but there are ample op
 portunities to join the crew for the day. If interested\, email Brad at ro
