Join NCTA Spirit of the Woods Chapter on January 1 at the 76th Street trailhead (west of the town of Baldwin, MI) to hike north on the North Country Trail. This will be an out-and-back hike of about 5 miles. You can do more or fewer miles if you’d like, since it is an out-and-back hike.

Depending on conditions, you may need traction devices on your boots. Currently, snow isn’t in the long range forecast. Since 76th St. is a hiker-only parking lot, there is no fee needed. The parking lot is small, however, so carpooling is recommended.

The hike will be canceled or postponed if the driving conditions are unsafe, so please RSVP, or email the leader and/or watch the Spirit of the Woods Facebook page for cancellation if the predicted weather appears unsafe for driving. (We will make a decision on December 31 if the hike needs to be cancelled.)
