Spring has sprung! The NCTA Spirit of the Woods Chapter‘s April Hike will be on Saturday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). We will hike from High Bridge Road, heading east. The meeting place is south of Brethren; it is a pull-out area on High Bridge Road. During the winter it is a snowmobile trail. Please pull to the side to allow access for four-wheelers. It is located approximately at mile marker 803 on High Bridge Road, just north of the roadwalk (NCNST), which is north of the point where High Bridge Road crosses the Manistee River.

The hike leader is Monica Hatch. Monica will head east from the parking area along the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are some nice views of the Manistee River as the Trail follows the top of the ridge. Bring a snack and water. You probably would want to layer clothes, as it often is cool during the morning, but if the sun is out it will hopefully warm up during late morning.
