 t the 8th Street road crossing near Milepost 293. This is east of the Timb
 er Creek trailhead and just north of U.S. 10.\n\nArcGIS map of the area\nG
 oogle Maps link\n\nNOTE: It is recommended to access 8th Street from the e
 ast off of Mac Road because of soft and sandy road conditions coming from 
 the west. Carpooling is recommended as parking is limited to a small clear
 ed area with the option of parking on the side of the (unpaved) road.\n\nT
 his north-bound\, out-and-back hike will be about 6 miles\, or more or les
 s\, as you desire.  We can discuss distances at the hike start. Please be
  sure to bring water on the hike.\n\nPeg Gramas will be the hike leader.\n
