SUMMARY:Spirit of the Woods Chapter (northern MI) September Hike
DESCRIPTION:We will meet for the September hike on Saturday\, September 6 
 at the Freesoil Trailhead (east of Freesoil\, MI) at 10 AM and hike north
 bound from the trailhead. This is at milepost 835.25 on the ArcGIS map. Al
 ternatively\, here is a a Google Map with driving directions.\n\nThis area
  is gently rolling and starts in an area known as the Big Bear Swamp. The 
 trail is on an old narrow gauge railroad bed so it is dry. The parking are
 a is fairly small so please carpool. You can also park on the forest road 
 adjacent to the trailhead\, locally known as Elk Hwy. There isn’t a fee 
 for this trailhead. The hike leader will be Glen Van Antwerp.\n\nPlease RS

 rself if you text) or email spw@northcountrytrail.org.\n\n*Celebrate after
  the hike: We are also celebrating the North Country National Scenic Trail
  day on this date (a few weeks early). In honor of NCNST Day\, Dan and Jen
 n Driesenga have invited everyone to a brats and hamburgers BBQ at their n
 earby cottage after the hike. We will have directions to the location of t
 he picnic and will hand them out at the hike. Please bring potluck appetiz
 ers or side dishes if you would like to add to the picnic celebration.\n\n
