SUMMARY:Spirit of the Woods Chapter Workday\, National Public Lands Day
DESCRIPTION:The Spirit of the Woods Chapter is hosting a work day on the No
 rth Country National Scenic Trail Day on Saturday\, September 27 at 9 am i
 n the area known as Sterling Marsh. This is also in celebration of Nationa
 l Public Lands Day.\n\nWe are hosting a work day on September 27 to give b
 ack to the trail we love and complete some light work on the boardwalks in
  Sterling Marsh\, south and west of Baldwin\, MI. The boardwalks become sl
 ippery with age and moisture. We have some metal non-slip strips that the 
 Forest Service is providing for us. We have enough anti-slip treads for ap
 proximately 600 feet of boardwalk. We just need the person power to instal
 l those strips on the boardwalk sections! Please plan to bring a battery p
 owered drill with a clutch and kneepads (or something to kneel on such as 
 foam or a towel).\n\nDan Driesenga will be the work day leader. We will me
 et at 9 AM at the Jenks Road Trailhead. This is south of 76th St.\, which 
 is south and west of the town of Baldwin\, MI. See the ArcGIS map at https
 ://arcg.is/vCHmX0. The trailhead is at milepost 870.\n\nThis Google link w
 ill give driving directions to Jenks Road very near the trailhead. https:
 //maps.app.goo.gl/VRfvwz5XsBeguahJ7. Then take the small Forest Service Ro
 ad\, FS 6241 on the west side of Jenks Road. It only goes a short distance
  before ending at the trailhead parking lot. The GPS coordinates are 43.83
