SUMMARY:St Paddy's Day Bigfoot Hike
DESCRIPTION:4-mile (total) out-and-back beginning at the Wampum train stati
 on and heading west.\n\nRated: Moderate\n\nThis counts towards the 2025 Wa
 mpum Chapter hiking Challenge.\n\nAfter a short road walk (.5 mile)\, we'l
 l head into the woods on the NCT in search of Bigfoot - one of the most el
 usive  hikers around. The trail will take us into the Mines and Meadows ar
 ea and\, on top of the former limestone mines\, now Wampum Underground sto
 rage facility. Along the route\, we'll also pass an NCT hiker shelter. Upo
 n reaching the Mines and Meadows Campground\, we will turn back towards Wa
 mpum where we will have a variety of homemade soups to warm our belly.\n\n
 Parking is available at the Wampum Depot Train Station (303 Main St. Wampu
 m\, PA 16157).\n\nRemember to bring drinking water\, proper footwear\, and
