The Central New York Chapter’s segment of the North Country Trail is from the northern terminus of the Link Trail, west of Tuscarora Lake, to the Oneida-Herkimer county line.
Here, the trail winds along historic canal paths; through state parks and state forests; past numerous lakes and streams; across the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park; and into the NCTA Trail Town of Canastota. The Central New York Chapter volunteers maintain their segment in partnership with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, as well as others.
