The Chequamegon Chapter’s segment of the North Country Trail is from Bayfield County Road A to the Sandstone Ledges Spur Trail in Copper Falls State Park.
Here, the trail winds through the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest; along the Bad River; across the Penokee Mountain Range; and into Copper Falls State Park and the NCTA Trail Town of Mellen. The Chequamegon Chapter volunteers maintain their segment in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, as well as others.
