Border Route Trail Clearing-Clearwater Lake, MN
Be part of a trail maintenance trip that combines hands-on work with camping and paddling.
We’ll meet at Clearwater Lake Entry Point 62 on Friday at 1:30, then canoe to the easternmost campsite on Clearwater Lake (Clearwater #9) and set up basecamp. Saturday and Sunday we will clear the trail of dead fall and brush using hand tools starting at Gogebic Lake and working our way west 3.6 miles to the Pine Lake portage.
No training or certifications are required, but signing up for the Volunteer-In-Parks (VIP) program is highly recommended.
A $30 fee is required to attend, and will be donated to the Border Route Trail. Click here to access the payment page. Volunteers are also responsible for providing their own food.
Please note this event is limited to 9 people. If you’re unable to attend, or the event is full, we will be hosting another trip at Lake McFarland on May 21.
