Chief Noonday October Work Day
Help the Chief Noonday Chapter repair and stabilize a bridge on the trail in Yankee Springs State Recreation Area. We will be adding additional support under the bridge and on the banks to support the long term health of the bridge.
The Chapter will supply most tools, but if you have them, please bring waders and/or a battery-powered impact driver with spare battery and T25 Torx (6 pointed star), Phillips (standard #2 size) and square (standard #2 size) driver bits. Bring sturdy gloves and wear long pants and be prepared to get muddy. Long sleeves are recommended even if it’s warm.
Bring water and snacks. We will work until around lunch.
If we have enough volunteers, we may also send a crew to start work on a nearby new section of trail. If you have them, please bring lopping shears, pruning shears, a pruning saw, and mattocks or pulaskis if you might be interested in this part of the project.
Optional Breakfast: We will meet at 8 AM at Grove Street Cafe, 370 N Grove St, Delton, MI
