The Minnesota Waters and Prairie Chapter is the North Country Trail Association’s newest Chapter, organized in November 2015. Our Chapter is quite diverse: Male and female, retired and employed, young and older, builders and organizers. You’re invited to join us for a hike, a Chapter meeting, or to help us build and maintain the Trail in Otter Tail County.

Chapter Trail Section

There are currently two sections of NCT in Otter Tail County: a 3-mile section in Maplewood State Park and a 10-mile urban and rural loop in Fergus Falls. Both segments provide an interesting mix of prairie and woodland hiking. Road routes currently connect these short segments of off-road trail. The Trail through this area, both off-road and on, traverses the agriculturally rich flat Red River Valley.
