Fall Leaf Peeper Hike
Join the Allegheny National Forest Chapter for a fall hike traveling south across lovely Gibbs Hill toward Rt 6. We’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage colors and pine forests of the area.
Our meeting time is 10:00 AM EDT at the Bliss Hill parking lot, located on Bliss Hill Rd, about 3.3 miles NE of Rt 6 or 1 mile SW of Rt 321. Look for the long uphill staircase, parking is across from that.

We will do an out-and-back hike south on the NCT. It is about 5.4 miles to go to a snowmobile road and back or 10.2 miles to go as far as Rt 6 back. We’ll also stop at the Gibbs Hill Shelter. The length of the hike can be adjusted based on the desires of the participants.
Please come prepared for the hike dressed in appropriate layers for the weather, and carrying your own food and water. Friendly dogs are welcome. We hope to see you down the trail.
