Peter Wolfe Chapter

The Peter Wolfe Chapter’s segment of the North Country Trail is from M-64 in the Ottawa National Forest to Long Lake, west of Craig Lake State Park.

Here, the trail winds through the Ottawa National Forest, Sturgeon River Gorge Wilderness, and Trap Hills; past several streams and waterfalls; and into the Grand Canyon of the Upper Peninsula. Peter Wolfe Chapter volunteers maintain their segment in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, as well as others.
