Chief Noonday Chapter 15th Annual Shoe Year’s Day Hike
Please join Chief Noonday Chapter on Friday, January 1st for the 15th Annual Shoe Year’s Day Hike!
This 2 and/or 4 mile out-and-back hike is on natural surface (rain, snow or shine).
Start and End Location: Long Lake Yankee Springs Recreation Area, 10370 Gun Lake Rd., Middleville, MI 49333. There will be signage along the road and volunteer parking attendants directing you to designated parking areas.
Registration begins at 10:30 am
Look for volunteers holding “Short hike” signs to register for 2-mile hike
Look for volunteers holding “Long hike” signs to register for 4-mile hike
Hikes will begin as groups form. Turn around as desired. Advise sweep when leaving group.
Outhouses are available.
Leashed pets are welcomed on the hike.
Hot beverages, breakfast sandwiches and pastries will be available for purchase from the “River Road Food Truck.”
A campfire will be going for warmth!
New members who join Chief Noonday Chapter the day of hike will receive $10.00 towards their membership fee.
