Join the Western Michigan Chapter for a relaxed and informative winter gathering with the Western Michigan Chapter on Saturday, March 7! We’re excited to welcome members, volunteers, supporters, and the public to a casual indoor meet‑up as we look ahead to the upcoming trail season.

This gathering is open to the public and a perfect way to learn more about the NCT, get involved, and prepare for the 2026 hiking and trail maintenance season. Please join us for a welcoming morning filled with good conversation, helpful information, and shared enthusiasm for the North Country Trail.

We’ll be gathering indoors at Mercantile Bank (Leonard location) for a morning focused on connection, learning, and community. During the Chapter event, you’ll hear about:

• Trail project updates
• Basics of trail maintenance
• Upcoming hikes
• Backpacking opportunities this season

It’s a great way to get oriented—whether you’re new to the North Country Trail or a longtime supporter. The event is an opportunity to meet Board members, ask questions, and connect with fellow trail enthusiasts. We’ll leave plenty of time to socialize, enjoy light snacks, and wrap things up with a fun and friendly NCTA trivia game.
