Hike Type: Out-and-Back

Location: Lost Nations – M-34 trailhead (MI-1157 spur parking) to Tripp Rd. trailhead (MI-1159.75)

Total Mileage: Approximately 5.0 miles

Hike Start: 8:30 a.m.

Please download Merlin Bird ID app before the hike. We will use the app to identify birds on the hike by sound or visual clues. We will be handing out checklists of birds in the area to mark off as spotted during the hike.

Practice LNT principles. Water crossings via logs across river present on this section of trail. The hike is dog-friendly, but dogs must be on a 6′ leash at all times. The hike is also family-friendly, but no strollers.

Limited cellular service in this area.

No bathroom facilities near hike (gas station a few miles away from trailhead at M-34/M-99 junction).
