This is a self-supported backpack trip into the west side of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) with our Affiliate, the Border Route Trail Association.

At noon on Saturday, crew members will meet at Rockwood Lodge to collect provided hand tools and safety gear. After a short carpool to the Mucker Lake trailhead, we’ll backpack approximately 1.7 miles from the trailhead to the Topper Lake campsite. We’ll clear deadfalls and brush between the Topper Lake and Sock Lake campsites.

Meeting Time: Noon on Saturday
Meeting Location: Rockwood Lodge and Outfitters (50 Rockwood Road, Grand Marais, MN 55604)
Camping Details: Basecamp at Topper Lake campsite (about 1.7 miles from trailhead)
We provide: Permit, tools and safety gear
You will need to bring: Personal gear (tent, cookware, etc), meals, snacks, hydration, etc.
