The sun sets on February 24th at 5:41 p.m. and the full moon rises at 5:57 p.m. Please join us for an out-and-back hike or snowshoe from the Moose River Trailhead on the North Country National Scenic Trail.

Meet at the Moose River Trailhead at 6:00 p.m. Distance for hike/snowshoe will be determined by conditions and folks who attend. The Scott Rapids campsite is 0.1 miles from the Moose River Trailhead and the historic Gibson cabin is 0.7 miles down the trail. It will be beautiful to see these locations in the full moonlight.

Following the hike, there will be a campfire at the Scott Rapids campsite with s’mores and roasting sticks provided. Glen and Teresa, members of the Brule-St. Croix chapter will be coordinating the event.

For the hike or snowshoe please bring what you need, i.e., trekking poles, snowshoes, water, snacks, and dress in layers.

For the campfire, please bring a camping chair and a story to tell. Hope to see you there!
