The Grand Traverse Chapter’s next monthly meeting will be Tuesday, April 8, 7:00 pm at the Boardman River Nature Center. We will be meeting a week earlier than usual due to the Native Plant Sale occurring at the Nature Center on our usual meeting date.

This month’s program will be given by Mark Boersen, Senior Wildlife Specialist for the MDNR. He will discuss the status of black bears in Michigan and in North America, black bear biology, living with black bears, avoiding problem behaviors that attract bears, deterrents, and other tools to scare bears away.
