Eastern UP Trail Work Weekend
For 2025, the Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Chapter conducted a series of work weekends. This is the final weekend of trail work and is slated to take place near County Road (CR) 414 to Two-Hearted River Campground (MI-421 to MI-430.5)..
We’ll clear the trail of winder blowdowns, mow, lop, blaze, and conduct trail tread repair and heavy maintenance, as required. Our goal is to provide group support to our Trail Adopters and the work they do in maintaining their sections of the trail. Working in a group is always more fun and productive as it allows us to conduct heavier maintenance to ensure a sustainable trail for years to come.
Regardless of skill or experience, we hope you can join us for a day or weekend; we always provide training. If you join us, you will connect with others who love maintaining the trail, as well as see some of the most beautiful sections of the NCNST.
If interested, plan to attend, or would like more information, email Brad Stewart at bradstewart1029@gmail.com or call or text at (906) 450-3232. Dispersed camping is available and locations will be designated once we know how many volunteers will attend and camp. You will have to provide your own water and meals. For latest information on link-up times/locations, see the HSS events listed on the NCTA Events Calendar and the NCT Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Facebook Events page.
