An Evening with North Country National Scenic Trail Thru-hiker Aaron “Soda” Landon
Aaron “Soda” Landon will be talking virtually about his 2022 thru-hike of the 4,900-mile North Country National Scenic Trail. He started at Lake Sakakawea State Park in North Dakota on March 24th and walked east to Ohio before skipping ahead by train to Rutland, Vermont. He then walked westbound from the Appalachian Trail to finish his 8-month, 8- day trek in Defiance, OH on December 5th.
Aaron, 48, is currently working at Snowbank Lodge on the edge of the Boundary Waters near Ely, MN and is a volunteer with the Kekekabic Trail Chapter of the NCTA. He will touch upon the people (Trail Angels) that helped him along the way during his hike.
Refreshments (both adult & n/a beverages and snacks) will be provided by the Sheyenne River Chapter. More information on the event may be found on Facebook, or by contacting Matthew Davis at (701) 388-1883 or davis@northcountrytrail.org.
