Vermont hosts more than 70 miles of the North Country National Scenic Trail.
What to expectTrail users are treated to rivers and streams, rocky gorges, vast valleys, lush forests, quiet dirt roads, agricultural fields, and the remote and wild Green Mountains. Cross a variety of notable land units and features, including Green Mountain National Forest, Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, and Maine Junction: the trail’s eastern terminus. The North Country Trail also shared a portion of its Vermont route with the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM).
