Vermont

Central Vermont hosts more than 80 miles of the North Country National Scenic Trail.

Wind along dirt roads and through agricultural fields. Peer across rivers and streams, into gorges and across vast valleys. Trek into rocky, forested mountains and stand at the easternmost end of the longest National Scenic Trail in America.

The trail crosses a variety of notable land units and features in Vermont, including Green Mountain National Forest, Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, and Maine Junction: the trail’s eastern terminus. It also shares approximately 20 miles with the Trail Around Middlebury (TAM).
