Join the Allegheny National Forest Chapter on Saturday, May 17th or Sunday, May 18th or both as we prepare the northern 50 miles for the Allegheny-100 Hiking Challenge.

For both days, meet no later than 10AM. We’ll be working on clearing and brushing, along with a few small projects. If you are interested in camping on Sat evening, we suggest Red Bridge, Tracy Ridge or Willow Bay Forest Service campgrounds.

On Saturday, May 17th, meet at 10 AM at the Rt 321 Sugar Bay Trailhead. The Trailhead is located about 7.5 mi south of Rt 346 and 6.35 mi north of Rt 59 on Rt 321 at coordinates N 41° 53.399’ W 078° 53.170’.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, and bring your own water, food, and work gloves. All tools are provided and no special skills are needed. We encourage people new to trail work to come out and give back to the trail. There will be a job for you and a person to teach you what to do. Remember that “many hands make light work”.

Hope to see you there!
