THIS IS A VIRTUAL-ONLY MEETING! The Chief Noonday Chapter has traditionally have kept our February chapter meeting all virtual due to weather concerns, and the ability to be more creative with our guest speakers, especially for this fabulous first-time forum!

We invite you to join us online to hear about this amazing team effort, launched pre-COVID, to complete the lower peninsula of Michigan. Hear from the very people who participated in this adventure that gained incredible popularity as it moved north up the mitten.

You may have questions. How did this happen? Who thought of doing this? Was there a leader? How did people join? How many were there? Where did they live? Did they know one another before it started? Were there rules, training? Where did they sleep, meet up, park, etc.? ALL GREAT QUESTIONS! Bring all the questions you have and hear the answers directly from those who were there!

Many things were learned by the participants. Not the least of which that this was not just about hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, resilience, or achievement (although all played huge roles). This was ultimately about the connections that are made on the trail and that continue in the lives of all who participated!

Join us online and get a glimpse of the effects of one small group rippling from the Ohio border, across the state, and across the entire North Country Trail; even across the globe! Boots on the ground. We started together, and have gone on to hike our own hikes (some venturing into the next mitten together taking on the sequel B2B: Mackinaw Bridge to the Wisconsin Border).

They will take us through a treasure trove of stories, experiences and relationships.
