The Dakota Prairie Chapter is asking for volunteers to help clear brush from the North Country Trail on May 10th starting at 1:30 pm.

We will be meeting where the North Country Trail crosses 62nd Street SE south of Walcott (coordinates 46.514304, -96.911520). Starting at 1:30 pm, we will walk to the north about 1 mile (2 miles total), stopping at different points to clear brush off the trail. We should be done before 4 pm.

Clearing brush is considered easy work using hand tools like pruners, loppers, and small saws. All tools will be provided but as volunteers you will need to bring gloves, some sort of eye protection, water, snacks, and wear sturdy shoes. Children are welcome but will only be allowed to remove cut brush.
