Join the Harbor Springs Chapter on a Lady Slippers Hike!

We’ll be hiking Section 10 north towards French Farm Lake. This section of trail includes balsam, cedar, and pine forests. It crosses Carp River and French Farm Lake dam. It includes many puncheon walkways over streams and wet areas. Two miles of the trail border French Farm Lake with many scenic views and waterfowl viewing in the summer. Many lady slipper flowers and other flowers are likely to be in bloom during the time of this hike.

If you  are just doing an out-and-back to the dam, we will leave as soon as the cars arrive from French Farm Lake Road. The bridge is being re-done and should be finished if they are on schedule. If not, stay tuned for updates.

Hike Length: 5.25 miles

Meet at Section 11 Trailhead: French Farm Lake Rd, 1/2 mile south of Trails End Rd. We will then drive (spot) cars to Cecil Bay Rd and hike to Farm French Lake Rd. There is widened-road parking.
